The College was first established in February, 1942.College was affiliation to SSC/U started immediately and BTC was officially recognized in 1992.Baptist Theological College and the Bachelor of Theology (BTh) degree program was inaugurated on July 15, 1989 by O. M. Rao the then Principal of Eastern Theological College.
Baptist Theological College offers courses in Bachelor of Divinity of various duration as 4 years (after graduation & above), 5 years (after 10+2) ans 2 Years (after B.Th from Senate of Serampore College registered institute.
They also have Certificate in Church Music (CCM).
